Take the Deaf Aware Audit                 Take the Deaf Aware Pledge                  Become Deaf Inclusive

Many employers struggle to know where to begin when it comes to supporting Deaf individuals. Often, efforts are limited to a one-off training session, which doesn’t lead to meaningful or lasting change. What’s needed is a higher standard of accessibility that makes a real difference in the daily lives of Deaf people—whether they are customers, employees, or colleagues.

The DeafAware® Logo sets this standard, serving as a pledge of commitment that businesses can proudly display to show they are genuinely inclusive and supportive of the Deaf community. Start your application with a DeafAware® audit.

Imagine a pool of talented Deaf Job Searchers with the skills your business needs to thrive. Now imagine you’re missing out on these Job Searchers because they don’t know you’re eager to hire them.

We recently conducted extensive surveys and interviews with Deaf Job Searchers to identify the barriers they face in employment. Our findings revealed that 78% of Deaf Job Searchers cited their biggest obstacle as difficulty in identifying employers who were genuinely inclusive and prepared to accommodate their needs. If you’d like a copy of our research findings, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Deaf employees bring far more to your organization than just their ability to perform the job you’re hiring for. They often excel in visual communication, adaptability, and have exceptional problem-solving skills due to their daily experiences navigating a predominantly hearing world.
